City and university debris contractors to close northbound lane on Gertrude Ford Avenue

City and university debris contractors will clear debris along Gertrude Ford Avenue between Alumni Drive and West Jackson Avenue on March 11, according to officials.

Large equipment used for debris removal will require the northbound lane to be shut down during the operation. Traffic will be diverted through the Gertrude Ford Center parking lot to Depot Street to access West Jackson Avenue.

Motorists are advised to use caution when approaching the area and consider alternate routes if possible, officials said.

The closures are expected to last for the duration of the debris removal process, which is scheduled to take place during daytime hours.
