Community Resources in Oxford Offer Support and Services

Oxford community members have access to various resources aimed at providing support and essentials. The list includes services such as showers at Planet Fitness and Walmart, which offers showers and laundry in its parking lot.

Connie’s Chicken is offering free food items today, Jan. 30, with a free biscuit and donut in the morning and a three-piece chicken meal with fries in the afternoon, according to organizers.

The Community Church Oxford is distributing meal packs, water, snacks, toiletries, and blankets to residents in need. Additionally, the church partners with Deals Auto Repair to provide free propane, with a limit of two small grill bottles per family. Customers must supply their own bottles, and the service is available at the auto repair shop on University Avenue.

Oxford School District is also providing free meals to the community from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Oxford Middle School, helping families during this time.

The list of resources is expected to be updated regularly to assist residents with ongoing needs, according to local officials.
