Emergency teams to conduct storm damage assessments in Lafayette County and Oxford
Emergency management teams from federal, state, and local agencies will be in Lafayette County and the City of Oxford over the next several days conducting damage assessments related to the recent winter storm, according to officials.
The assessments aim to document storm impacts and assist with resource requests and aid. Crews may be seen in neighborhoods, along roadways, and near public infrastructure, taking notes and photographs of damage, authorities said.
Officials thanked residents for their patience and kindness as teams work to gather a comprehensive picture of the storm’s effects. Updates will be shared as more information becomes available, they added.
