Four critically injured in Lafayette County vehicle crash, authorities say
LAFALETTE COUNTY, Miss. — Four people suffered critical injuries after a vehicle left the roadway on County Road 313 on Feb. 7, according to the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office.
Emergency responders, including Lafayette County Fire Department and Priority Ambulance Service, arrived at the scene around 7:33 p.m. They found one vehicle off the road with four critically injured patients. Medical personnel began life-saving measures immediately.
Four medical helicopters, including Hospital Wing, Pafford Air, and Air Evac, were dispatched to airlift the patients. Three were transported to North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, while one was taken to Regional One Health in Memphis. All four remained in critical condition, authorities said.
The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office Investigation Division is examining the cause of the crash. No additional details were released.
