Lafayette County Deputy Wins SRO of the Year Award

Lafayette County Deputy Art Watts received the School Resource Officer of the Year award during the sheriff’s office awards banquet.

He was nominated by Lt. Jonathon Grantham, who praised Watts for his calm demeanor, sound judgment, and effective communication skills.

Grantham added that Watts has earned the trust and respect of staff, students, and the sheriff’s office team.
