Mississippi Bureau of Investigation Holds Second Annual General Assembly

The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation hosted its second annual General Assembly, bringing together agents from across the state, according to a post from the Mississippi Department of Public Safety.

The event featured updates and highlights from each regional Major, Crime Scene Unit, and Special Operations Group. Organizers emphasized the ongoing dedication and efforts of law enforcement personnel to maintain public safety in Mississippi.

The bureau recognized two individuals with awards. Tammy Black, with the MBI VAC, received the Support Staff of the Year award. Norman Harris, from MBI District 1 and the FBI Civil Rights Task Force, was named the MBI Special Agent of the Year. The department expressed gratitude to all MBI members for their professionalism and service to the state.
