Mississippi DPS Shares Historic Photos in Flashback Friday Post

The Mississippi Department of Public Safety shared a series of historic photos Friday as part of a #FlashbackFriday post.

The images include instructors from the department’s first school in 1938, a 1947 group photo of Mississippi Highway Patrol officers, and a vintage elephant with MHP markings. The post also features a throwback to the old patrol cars used by the agency.

The department encouraged followers to reflect on the agency’s history and evolution over the decades.
