Mississippi DPS to Open New Driver Service Office in Columbia

The Mississippi Department of Public Safety will open a new Driver Service location in Columbia on Monday, Feb. 9, 2026. The office will be situated at 153 Partnership Way.

The facility will serve residents in Marion County and nearby areas. Appointments can be scheduled online at dps.ms.gov. According to state officials, average wait times at Mississippi Driver Service locations are currently 14 minutes or less.

Commissioner Sean Tindell called the new office a positive development for the community. “This new office is a great addition for the people of Columbia and the surrounding area,” he said. “Our goal is to continue improving access to services across the state while keeping wait times low and customer service strong.”
