Mississippi law enforcement officials arrested a Tupelo man Wednesday following a drug trafficking investigation. Christopher Clay Beckwith, 34, was taken into custody after the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics executed a search warrant at a residence in Tupelo, according to the Mississippi Department of Public Safety.

The investigation, assisted by the Mississippi Highway Patrol and DPS Interdiction Unit, led to the seizure of drugs, paraphernalia, and cash. Beckwith faces multiple charges, including aggravated trafficking of methamphetamine, trafficking of cocaine, and possession with intent to sell hallucinogens, synthetic stimulants, and MDMA, also known as Ecstasy.

Authorities recovered approximately 603 grams of methamphetamine, 31 grams of cocaine, 21 grams of MDMA, and 2 grams of ketamine. They also seized prescription pills, including alprazolam (Xanax), and unknown pills, along with a brown powder substance. Two ledger books, digital scales, and $1,360 in cash believed to be drug proceeds were also recovered from the residence.

The Mississippi Department of Public Safety did not specify if Beckwith has entered a plea or if he is being held on bail. The investigation remains ongoing.
