MREs and Water Distributed at Multiple Sites in Lafayette County

Multiple distribution sites are offering meals and water for residents in Lafayette County and Oxford on Tuesday from noon to 4 p.m., according to officials.

The distribution, which is limited to up to three days’ worth per person, aims to ensure supplies reach as many residents as possible. Supplies are available while stocks last at several locations in Lafayette County, including the Harmontown SO Substation, Lafayette High School, Lafayette County Fire Station 3, and Oasis Church. In Oxford, sites include City Hall, CB Webb, Wayne Johnson Thacker at Garden Terrace, and others.

Officials ask residents to be patient and courteous, noting that the sites are staffed by National Guard personnel working to serve the community. Distribution will continue until supplies are depleted, and residents are encouraged to bring appropriate identification.
