Oxford, MS – Flash Flood Alert as Showers and Thunderstorms Roll Through
Oxford, Mississippi is currently grappling with flash flooding along several major thoroughfares as heavy rain and thunderstorms continue to impact the city overnight. The Oxford Police Department has issued an urgent Public Service Announcement warning drivers:
“We are experiencing flash flooding on Bramlett Blvd and University Ave. Several vehicles are stalled in the roadway.
If you cannot see the road, do not attempt to drive through. Turn around, don’t drown.”
Additional areas facing flooding include Highway 6, University Avenue, Old Lamar, and other nearby roads.
