National Weather Service Issues Weather Alert for Lafayette County

The National Weather Service in Memphis has issued a special weather statement for Lafayette County, valid until 7:30 p.m. CDT Tuesday, according to the agency.

The alert warns of wind gusts up to 40 mph and the possibility of nickel-sized hail. Communities in the affected area include Oxford, Abbeville, Taylor, Denmark, Tula, and Paris.
