OUT buses offer transportation from county to city for shelter needs

Starting Monday, the OUT buses will be available to transport residents from the county into the city, according to a release from the transportation provider.

Individuals needing transportation to a shelter should contact OUT Dispatch directly at 662-234-3540. The buses will operate from Monday through Friday, from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The buses are not running regular routes within the county. Riders must call in advance to request a ride to the city or shelter locations.

The service aims to assist residents in need of shelter transportation during the week, officials said.
