Oxford Community Celebrates Early Arbor Day with Tree Planting
The Upsilon Iota Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority teamed up with Oxford’s Landscape Services to plant new trees at Bailey Branch Park on Tuesday.
This marks the fourth year the sorority has hosted the initiative, which aims to promote environmental growth in the community. The collaboration ensures that the right types of trees are planted in suitable locations to thrive in the local environment, according to organizers.
