Oxford fire, police respond quickly to car fire

The Oxford Fire Department responded to a report of a car fire around 1 a.m. Thursday, according to department officials.

First responders arrived at the scene within two minutes, with a total of 21 personnel from the fire department and Oxford Police Department working to contain the fire.

Officials credited their rapid response for preventing additional damage to nearby property. No injuries were reported.
