Oxford, Lafayette County Consolidate Shelters Amid Ice Storm Response

Oxford and Lafayette County will consolidate their emergency shelters into a single location at the Oxford Activity Center beginning at 8:30 a.m. tomorrow, according to local officials.

All individuals currently sheltered at the two existing sites will be moved to the new location, which will be managed by the American Red Cross.

Officials ask for patience during the transition and emphasize that the goal is to provide a safe, warm, and well-supported environment for those impacted by the ice storm. They also expressed confidence that the community will get through the storm together.
