Oxford offers free tulips during Sustainable Bloom Project event

The City of Oxford’s Landscape Services crew planted 8,000 tulips on the town square this spring. The flowers are now being distributed to residents during the Sustainable Bloom Project’s “Tulip Takeover.”

On Friday, Landscape Services and the organization Stronger Together Oxford will give out free bundles of tulips beginning at 8 a.m. The event will take place in the pocket park next to City Hall.

Residents are encouraged to stop by early to secure their tulips before they run out, according to organizers.
