Oxford police officers awarded Life-Saver Award for quick action at crash scene
Oxford police announced that Captain Kevin Parker and Officers Canaan Pearson and Ronnie Goudy received the department’s Life-Saver Award for their actions during a recent crash response.
According to police, Captain Parker found an unresponsive person inside a vehicle after responding to a wreck. He breached the vehicle and began life-saving measures immediately. Officers Pearson and Goudy arrived quickly to assist, and the three continued providing care until emergency medical services arrived and transported the individual for treatment.
The department praised the officers for their quick response, teamwork, and dedication. Police said their actions exemplify the department’s standards and reflect its mission to serve with wisdom and compassion while maintaining a safe community.
