Oxford Utilities Battles Power and Water Outages Amid Severe Storm

Oxford Utilities has been on the front lines of recovery efforts after a severe storm caused widespread outages in the city. Most of Oxford lost power from Saturday night into Sunday morning, according to the utility company.

On Wednesday, January 28, company officials expressed concerns about the potential loss of the city’s water supply. Rob Neely, the general manager of Oxford Utilities, led crews in addressing these crises, which have persisted for over a week.

Despite the challenges, Neely and his team have managed to keep outages to a minimum. As of the latest update, only 349 outages remain in Oxford. The utility has praised its crews for their dedication during this difficult period.

Officials continue to monitor the situation closely, working around the clock to restore full service and ensure the safety of residents. The community has expressed gratitude for the ongoing efforts of Oxford Utilities’ staff.
