Lafayette County Emergency Management announced that Samaritan’s Purse is providing free disaster relief assistance to homeowners impacted by recent events. The aid includes chainsaw work, debris cleanup, temporary roof tarping, and moving personal property to the curb, according to officials.

Residents seeking help are instructed to call 833-747-1234 and select extension 4 to speak with a Samaritan’s Purse representative. The service is free, and requests are fulfilled based on volunteer availability.

The assistance is available at Christ Presbyterian Church, located at 901 Sisk Avenue in Oxford. Volunteers interested in helping can visit spvolunteer.org or call 662-607-4824. Officials advise that there is no cost for the services and warn residents not to pay anyone claiming to provide this assistance for a fee.
