South Lamar Boulevard to Close for Debris Removal on Saturday Morning

South Lamar Boulevard, from Highway 278 to the Square, will be closed to all traffic Saturday from 6:15 a.m. to approximately 7:15 a.m. for debris removal, according to local authorities.

The operation will then move to North Lamar, which will be shut down from the Square to Price Street from about 7 a.m. until 8:15 a.m., officials said.

Motorists are advised to plan alternative routes and allow extra travel time during the closures, which are expected to be brief.
