Tornado Watch for Lafayette County Canceled; Freeze Warning Issued

The tornado watch issued for Lafayette County on Sunday has been canceled, according to local weather authorities.

Instead, residents are advised to prepare for a freeze warning starting at 4 a.m. on March 16 and lasting until noon the same day. A subsequent freeze watch will be in effect from 8 p.m. March 16 through noon March 17.

Officials recommend taking precautions to protect sensitive plants and outdoor water systems during the cold snap.
