University of Mississippi Provides Winter Weather Updates and Resources
The University of Mississippi is prioritizing the safety and well-being of students, faculty, and staff as winter weather continues to affect the campus and surrounding community.
The GCF Student Union remains open and has power, serving as a warming shelter for students and employees. The university noted that there is no food service available at the Student Union at this time. Water bottle dispensers on every level are operational.
The Rebel Market is serving as the food service location during this event, with hours from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday. Power has been restored to several residence halls, and crews are working around the clock in coordination with local utility providers and emergency partners to restore power to remaining residence halls as safely and quickly as possible.
The university has established a Call Center for non-emergency updates, available at 662-915-7211 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Officials urged patience and care during these challenging conditions, with additional updates to be shared as new information becomes available.
