Water and Meal Distribution Sites Open in Lafayette County

Multiple distribution sites in Lafayette County are providing MREs and water to residents. The efforts run from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., while supplies last, according to officials.

Distribution is limited to three days’ worth per person to maximize reach. The sites include the Harmontown sheriff’s office substation at 12 CR 517, Lafayette High School at 160 Commodore Drive, Lafayette County Fire Station 3 at 22 CR 369, and Oasis Church at 861 Highway 6 West.

In the city of Oxford, residents can visit City Hall, CB Webb, Wayne Johnson, or Thacker at Garden Terrace for supplies. Officials urge patience and kindness, noting the National Guard is staffing the sites to serve the community.

Supply availability is limited, and distribution will continue until all resources are exhausted, authorities said.
