Water and MRE Distribution Begins in Lafayette County and Oxford

Water and MREs will be distributed starting at 12 p.m. today in Lafayette County and the city of Oxford, according to local officials.

The supplies will be available until they run out. Distribution sites in Lafayette County include the Harmontown SO Substation at 12 CR 517, Lafayette High School at 160 Commodore Drive, Lafayette County Fire Station 3 at 22 CR 369, and Lafayette County Fire Station 12 at 1301 Highway 30.

In Oxford, distribution will occur at Britney Estates, Western Hills, and the Old Army Pavilion. Authorities ask residents to be patient and courteous to staff and volunteers at each site.

Officials encourage residents to share the information with neighbors to ensure everyone has access to the supplies.
