Water and MRE Distribution Begins in Lafayette County and Oxford

Water and Meals Ready to Eat (MREs) will be distributed beginning at noon today in Lafayette County and Oxford. Distribution will continue until supplies run out, according to officials.

In Lafayette County, sites include the Harmontown Sheriff’s Office Substation at 12 CR 517, Lafayette High School at 160 Commodore Drive, Lafayette County Fire Station 3 at 22 CR 369, and Lafayette County Fire Station 12 at 1301 Highway 30.

In the city of Oxford, distribution points are Britney Estates, Western Hills, and the Old Army Pavilion.

Officials ask residents to be patient and courteous to staff and volunteers at each site. They also encourage sharing information about the sites with neighbors who may need assistance.
