Water and MRE Distribution Begins in Lafayette County and Oxford

Water and Meals Ready to Eat (MREs) will be distributed starting at noon today in Lafayette County and the city of Oxford. Supplies are expected to last until they are exhausted.

In Lafayette County, distribution sites include the Harmontown Sheriff’s Office Substation at 12 CR 517, Lafayette High School at 160 Commodore Drive, Lafayette County Fire Station 3 at 22 CR 369, and Lafayette County Fire Station 12 at 1301 Highway 30.

In Oxford, distribution will take place at Britney Estates, Western Hills, and the Old Army Pavilion.

Officials urge residents to be patient and courteous to staff and volunteers at each site. They also encourage sharing this information to help neighbors find assistance.
