Residents in Lafayette County and Oxford can pick up meals and water today, with supplies limited to three days per person. Distribution is ongoing until supplies run out.

The Taylor Community Development Center is providing food and water to the local community, operating during daylight hours or until supplies are depleted.

The Mississippi National Guard has started airlifting supplies into Lafayette County to support ongoing needs, according to officials.

Crews will work on County Road 303 in the Northeast today, causing periodic road closures. Drivers are advised to use alternate routes.

Water and food supplies previously stored in Taylor have been moved to the fire station in Paris, according to officials.

Emergency crews are on the scene on County Road 108 near the 100 block. Motorists are urged to slow down and use caution.

Cr 104 is temporarily closed because of icy road conditions, according to local authorities.

Oxford Middle School served 630 meals on Sunday. The community is invited to join for lunch Monday through Wednesday this week.

Utility crews are working across Oxford to restore power to remaining customers after outages declined below 350 late last night.
