Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office highlights Harmontown Food Pantry

Sheriff Joey East highlighted Harmontown Food Pantry in a Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office “Sheriff’s Spotlight” post, recognizing the organization’s ongoing work in the community.

According to the post, the donation-supported nonprofit distributes food boxes month after month to people across Harmontown who need additional assistance. The pantry also helped provide food and essential supplies during an ice storm that left families without power, water or easy access to supplies.

The sheriff’s office said it is accepting donations of canned goods for the pantry. People may drop off nonperishable items, specifically canned goods, at the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office, which said it will deliver the donations to Harmontown Food Pantry.

The post thanked Harmontown Food Pantry for its work in the community and its assistance during the storm.
