Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office Reminds Drivers to Slow Down, Move Over for Emergency Vehicles

The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office reminded drivers to slow down and move over when they see emergency vehicles stopped along the roadway.

The notice applies to law enforcement, fire and emergency medical services vehicles, as well as other emergency vehicles. Drivers should move over when it is safe to do so, the office said.

The office said giving roadside workers more room helps them do their jobs and helps protect everyone traveling through the area.
