Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office says deputies are out in community

The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office said its deputies were out in the community during the evening, checking in with local businesses, visiting residents and maintaining a visible presence.

The office described the activity as part of its effort to protect, serve and connect with the Lafayette County community. Sheriff Joey East and the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office were identified in the Facebook post about the deputies’ community activity.
