Bo Luckey Appointed Mississippi Public Safety Commissioner

Bo Luckey has been appointed commissioner of the Mississippi Department of Public Safety by Gov. Tate Reeves, according to a department announcement posted on Facebook.

The department said Luckey has served as chief of Capitol Police since 2022. In announcing his appointment, the Mississippi Department of Public Safety highlighted his commitment to public safety, leadership and service to Mississippi residents.

The department said it looked forward to working with Luckey in his new role as it continued efforts to make Mississippi a safer place to live, work and raise a family.
