Mississippi Department of Public Safety urges caution ahead of Ole Miss-LSU game
The Mississippi Department of Public Safety said it was preparing for a busy weekend in Oxford as Ole Miss takes on LSU, with a sold-out crowd and heavy traffic expected.
In a Facebook post, the department said its troopers, CTED officers and law enforcement partners would be out in force to help keep people safe during the game weekend.
The department urged motorists to plan ahead, buckle up and remain patient on the roadways. It also warned drivers never to drink and drive.
The post encouraged attendees to enjoy the game while making safety part of their plans.
