Capitol Police April 2026 Citizens’ Academy graduates celebrate

Eighteen residents of the Capitol Complex Improvement District graduated from the Capitol Police April 2026 Citizens’ Academy, according to a news release.

The eight-day program offered participants a comprehensive look at the operations of Capitol Police. The academy aimed to provide a deeper understanding of the work officers and staff perform daily.

Designed specifically for residents of the district, the program fosters ongoing conversations, stronger relationships, and increased community involvement, officials said.

The academy’s goal is to enhance community understanding of law enforcement efforts and promote a collaborative approach to public safety, the department added.
