City of Oxford says it does not change Halloween date or host official trick-or-treating
The City of Oxford said it does not change the date of Halloween and does not host official trick-or-treating, according to a post on the city’s Facebook page.
The city said the Oxford Police Department remains ready to respond with assistance as needed during large gatherings, pedestrian-traffic events and other situations requiring a response.
Neighborhoods that have arranged trick-or-treating on a night other than Halloween can message the city. The city said it may promote those neighborhood changes on its social media platforms.
