Detective Sgt. Kam Herod earns Crimes Against Children certification

Detective Sgt. Kam Herod has graduated from the inaugural ACE Institute and the Mississippi Law Enforcement Officers’ Training Academy Crimes Against Children Certified Investigator Course, according to a police department news release.

After four weeks of intensive training, Sgt. Herod is among the first 11 investigators in Mississippi to receive this certification. He joins a select group of investigators nationwide with this specialized training.

The department expressed pride in Sgt. Herod’s dedication to protecting children and enhancing community safety. Officials encouraged the public to join in congratulating him on this achievement.
