Dispatch Lead La’Erin Burton recognized for leadership at OPD

La’Erin Burton, dispatch lead at the Oklahoma City Police Department, was recognized this week for her leadership, professionalism, and dedication to the department. Chief Jeff McCutchen praised Burton as a critical member of the Communications Center and one of the department’s best trainers.

According to McCutchen, Burton is highly educated and motivated to teach dispatchers while maintaining a high level of professionalism for staff and the community. She has emerged as a leader within the department and is actively involved with the Peace Officers Association, the chief said.

McCutchen added that Burton’s passion and commitment to excellence will continue to elevate the department’s standards. The department thanked her for her leadership and her efforts to support those serving the community every day.
