FEMA Assistance Now Available for Oxford and Lafayette County Residents
FEMA’s Individual Assistance Program is now available to residents of the City of Oxford and Lafayette County who were affected by recent disasters, according to FEMA officials.
The program offers aid to both renters and homeowners. Eligible assistance includes temporary housing, home repairs, replacement of essential personal property, and emergency supplies such as generator fuel and spoiled food replacement.
FEMA urges residents to apply as soon as possible by calling 1-800-621-3362 or visiting DisasterAssistance.gov. Officials note that a denial does not necessarily mean ineligibility, as FEMA may require additional information. Applicants are encouraged to appeal and follow up if they receive a denial.
Residents are advised to document their losses, apply promptly, and seek help through the FEMA hotline if needed.
