Lafayette County bids farewell to retiring E-911 Director Paul Lytle

The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office and Sheriff Joey East are honoring the retirement of E-911 Director Paul Lytle after more than a decade of service to the community.

Lytle joined the sheriff’s office in 2012 as a dispatcher under then-Sheriff Buddy East. He quickly established himself as a reliable presence in the communications center. Under Sheriff East’s leadership, Lytle was promoted to E-911 Director.

During his tenure, Lytle provided a steady and reassuring voice for residents during emergencies. He worked behind the scenes to ensure law enforcement, fire, and emergency medical services were dispatched swiftly and effectively.

His quiet leadership and dedication left a lasting impact on the sheriff’s office and Lafayette County. While he will be missed, officials expressed gratitude for his years of service and wished him well in retirement.

The sheriff’s office announced that Taylor McNece will succeed Lytle as E-911 Director. Officials expressed confidence that she will uphold the department’s standards of excellence in serving Lafayette County residents.
