Lafayette County hosts successful ladies’ handgun training despite rain
Despite rainy weather Saturday, women attended a handgun training class organized by the Lafayette County Law Enforcement Officers Training Academy.
Participants received classroom instruction, hands-on training with their personal weapons, and practice at the shooting range, according to the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office expressed gratitude to volunteer instructors who helped lead the class. Sheriff John East also attended, speaking to attendees, sharing a meal, and visiting the range, the department said.
