Lafayette County Offers MREs and Water Distribution Sites
Several distribution sites in Lafayette County are providing meals and water to residents today. Supplies are available starting at noon and will continue until they run out, according to officials.
Each person can receive up to three days’ worth of supplies to ensure broader community access. The sites include the Harmontown Sheriff’s Office substation at 12 County Road 517, Lafayette High School at 160 Commodore Drive, and Lafayette County Fire Station 3 at 22 County Road 369.
Additional locations are Oasis Church at 861 Highway 6 West, Taylor Community Center at 78 First Street, Lafayette County Fire Station 14 at 41 County Road 430, and Lafayette County Fire Station 12 at 1301 Highway 30 East. In the city of Oxford, distribution is available at CB Webb, Wayne Johnson Thacker, and Garden Terrace.
Officials urge residents to be patient and kind, noting that the sites are staffed by members of the Mississippi National Guard. Supplies are limited, and distributions will continue until they are depleted.
