Lafayette County, Oxford Distribute Emergency Water and MREs

Emergency supplies, including water and MREs, are available for residents today at multiple locations in Lafayette County and the City of Oxford. The distribution will continue until supplies run out, according to officials.

In Lafayette County, residents can visit the Harmontown Sheriff’s Office Substation at 12 CR 517, Lafayette High School at 160 Commodore Drive, Lafayette County Fire Station 3 at 22 CR 369, or Lafayette County Fire Station 6. In Oxford, distribution points include CB Webb, Thacker at Garden Terrace, and Wayne Johnson.

Officials urge residents to be patient and considerate of the staff working at these sites. They also encourage sharing this information with neighbors who may not have seen the announcement.

Local authorities emphasized the community’s resilience, stating, “We are going to get through this together.”
