Lafayette County, Oxford Offer Disaster Recovery Assistance
The U.S. Small Business Administration is offering disaster recovery resources to residents and organizations in Lafayette County and the city of Oxford, according to Julie from the SBA. The assistance is available to homeowners, renters, nonprofits, and businesses impacted by recent events.
The SBA’s Disaster Loan program provides up to $2 million in low-interest loans. Eligible applicants can benefit from zero interest and no payments for the first year, with repayment terms extending up to 30 years. Applicants are encouraged to apply without waiting for insurance claims to settle.
Next week, the SBA will announce a local office where residents can meet with representatives for personalized assistance. For questions, individuals can call 1-800-659-2955 (TTY: 7-1-1) or apply online at sba.gov/funding-programs/disaster-assistance.
