Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office welcomes back Deputy Amanda Roy

The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office announced the return of Deputy Amanda Roy to its team.

Deputy Roy began her public safety career at age 17 as a firefighter, according to officials. She holds a master’s degree in Public Administration with a focus on Emergency Management and has gained valuable experience in the emergency management field.

She also has five years of law enforcement experience, making her a well-rounded addition to the department, officials said. The sheriff’s office expressed pride in having Deputy Roy serve the community again and anticipates her positive impact.

Deputy Roy was welcomed back by her colleagues and the community, officials added.
