Lafayette County woman charged with child endangerment after drug exposure
Investigators with the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office have arrested a woman on four counts of felony child endangerment following an investigation into drug exposure. Authorities allege that Nydia Hudson, 28, of Oxford, tested positive for illegal drugs, as did her four minor children, according to a sheriff’s office news release.
The investigation, initiated after documentation was received on July 1, 2026, led to warrants for Hudson’s arrest. She was located at her residence on July 2 and taken into custody without incident. Hudson was booked into the Lafayette County Detention Center, where she later appeared in court. Bond was set at $10,000, and her case remains ongoing, authorities said.
Officials emphasized that charges are accusations, and Hudson is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have not released additional details.
