MREs and Water Distribution Sites Open in Lafayette County

Multiple sites in Lafayette County are distributing MREs and water, starting at noon and continuing until supplies are exhausted, according to officials. Each person can receive up to three days’ worth of supplies to help reach as many residents as possible.

Distribution sites include the Harmontown sheriff’s office substation at 12 CR 517, Lafayette High School at 160 Commodore Drive, Lafayette County Fire Station 3 at 22 CR 369, Oasis Church at 861 Highway 6 West, Taylor Community Center at 78 First Street, Lafayette County Fire Station 14 at 41 CR 430, and Fire Station 12 at 1301 Highway 30 East. In the city of Oxford, sites include CB Webb, Wayne Johnson Thacker at Garden Terrace, and others.

The Mississippi National Guard is staffing the sites to assist residents. Officials request patience and kindness as supplies remain limited and distribution continues until supplies are depleted.
