North Mississippi music educators attend professional development workshop

Two elementary music teachers from the Oxford School District attended a professional development workshop in North Mississippi on Thursday.

Marsha Morgan, who teaches at Central Elementary School, and Natalie Lewellen of Bramlett Elementary School took part in the session led by Dr. Morgan Luttig.

The workshop focused on enhancing music education techniques and strategies for elementary students, according to district officials.

The event aimed to support teachers in developing new skills and sharing best practices to improve student engagement and learning in music classes.

District representatives said the teachers found the workshop valuable and are expected to apply the insights in their classrooms.
