OPD officers become certified CPR instructors

Six officers and an assistant victim services coordinator at the Oklahoma City Police Department have earned American Red Cross CPR instructor certification.

The certification allows them to teach CPR to others and helps ensure the department remains certified and prepared to respond in emergencies, according to a department statement.

Department officials emphasized that investing in training benefits officers, the department, and the community they serve. The team’s new skills will help improve overall emergency response capabilities.

OPD expressed pride in the team for taking steps to increase department preparedness and community safety.
