Oxford claims 6A Cross Country Championship
Oxford took home the 6A Cross Country state championship on the boys side Saturday, storming into Clinton and coming away with the individual gold and the top spot as a team.
Luke Johnson took home the individual gold with a time of 15:54.19 while the team won with 86 points.
This is the 9th Boys Cross Country Title and first since 2016 and the teams first in 6A.
Oxford has now won back-to-back individual championships after Chase Rose did it last year.
According to Oxford Sports expert Ben Mikell, this is the 77th state title in Oxford history.
On the girls end, the Lady Chargers finished 8th. Maggie Irwin had the top time for the girls squad.
