Oxford School District announces winners of September staff walking challenge

Oxford School District staff participated in a districtwide walking challenge throughout September, tracking the miles they walked, according to a post from the district.

Mrs. Maxwell at DDES logged the most individual miles, while the Oxford High School Career and Technical Education Department earned the top school or department honor based on average miles per staff member. The district said winners were determined by dividing the total miles logged by the number of staff members at each location.

The district reported the following total miles logged by school or department: Oxford Intermediate School, 1,325.26 miles; DDES, 505.45 miles; CTE, 423.9 miles; Oxford Early Childhood Center, 286.6 miles; Central Elementary School, 221.61 miles; Oxford High School, 204 miles; Central Office, 104.8 miles; Bramlett Elementary School, zero miles; and Oxford Middle School, zero miles.

The Oxford School District credited its Health and Wellness department with organizing and supporting the walking challenge.
